Diamond/CBN Wheel Truing & Dressing Machine
Rush introduced the FC-250W Diamond/CBN wheel truing and dressing machine at IMTS 2004.
This machine is designed for truing and dressing of flats, angles, and radii on diamond and CBN single wheels and multiple wheel packs.
Use of the Model FC-250W allows for increased efficiency and accuracy by dressing wheels properly - offline of the production grinding machinery. The machine is simple to operate, quick, accurate and cost effective.
The FC-250W is now equipped with ExVision - a software program specifically designed for the FC-250W and its various applications. ExVision is user-friendly, with unique features such as custom menus of standard wheel shapes and a customized system for drawing lines, arcs and shapes. This system is easy to use for those not familiar with CAD functions.
The customized video software platform makes high-tolerance truing and dressing easier than ever before. In addition to the auto-zoom capabilities, this system allows magnification levels from 15x to 60x as standard; and, an optional high magnification system that allows from 30x to 120x - giving the benefit of true continuous in-process optical inspection while you work.

Polycrystalline Tool Grinder
Rush Machinery, Inc. introduced the Model FC-500D polycrystalline (PCD) tool grinder at IMTS 2002.
The new FC-500D is a larger, more versatile machine than the FC-200D. In addition to all the capabilities of the Model FC-200D, the Model FC-500D features vertical grinding spindle travel, a wheel travel range of 500 mm and an oscillation stroke of up to 70 mm.
Both machines are designed for the economical manufacturing and regrinding of cutting tools made from PCD, PCBN, CVD, tungsten carbide and other materials. They can grind angles and radii on standard and special turning and milling inserts, boring tools, grooving tools and many types of special turning tools. The FC-500D is also designed for grinding reamers, drills, endmills, and multi-step form tools. Their rigid construction and a 3HP variable speed grinding spindle allow for vibration-free grinding and fast stock removal. The worktable moves rapidly into and out from the grinding position by a pneumatic cylinder.
Both models feature a unique video optical system with 15-120x (zoom) magnification and a 12 inch monitor. This provides for a higher magnification and/or a larger field of view than most machine-mounted optical comparator systems. In addition, the system moves with the worktable for easy setup and for inspection during and after grinding.
